Peter Provonost, MD, Ph.D. gave remarks to the graduating medical class of 2017 at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine that inspire physicians to get their egos and sense of accomplishment out of the way to focus on the essential truth of practicing medicine: respect, dignity, and giving people what they want.

Humility is fundamental to helping others to heal, listening to them, responding to their needs and wants, giving them hope.

Healthcare promotions need to take the same path - listening to what consumers are concerned about, what keeps them up at night, and how our business, our service, our product can alleviate their stress.
